However soon the carb bottom might come in contact with the engine cooling fins and they may need to be trimmed a little. Another option is to remove the black phenolic spacer all together and run one or two intake gaskets to lower the carb further. I also thinned down the bottom intake manifold flange 1.5 - 2 mm thinner on a belt sander to lower the carb even more.
